Barry J. Coughlin

Barry J. Coughlin, 72, died Sunday, May 6, 2012 at the UMass Medical Center in Worcester after a short period of failing health. Born in Fall River, he was raised in Tiverton RI and was a graduate of DeLaSalle High School in Newport, RI. Mr. Coughlin also earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Providence College and his Master’s Degree from Northeastern University. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. Mr.Coughlin was a resident of Milford for a short time, previously living in California, Franklin and Sharon. Mr. Coughlin was the Director of Human Resources for CashEdge in San Jose, CA for several years, before retiring two years ago. Several years ago, he also taught courses at Northeastern University, Becker College and Menlo Park College. He was a member of the Providence College Alumni Club. In his free time, Barry enjoyed cooking, red wine, skiing and cars. He is survived by his son Barry J. Coughlin and his wife Tracy of Hanover and their children, Margaret Coughlin and Sean Coughlin. Visiting Hours will be held in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., Hingham on Thursday from 5-7 PM followed by Funeral Prayers at 7 PM.
