Barbara F. Shea

Barbara F. Shea died on December 14, 2024 at Allerton House at Harbor Park. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard M. Shea. Mrs. Shea was born in Brighton and raised in Waltham, where she graduated from Waltham High School. She was a longtime resident of Framingham until she and her husband relocated to Dennis in 1997. 

In addition to raising their five children she worked as a secretary for various organizations including Keefe Technical High School and Hobin Insurance Agency in Framingham. A lifelong sports fan (with a special affection for Tom Brady) Mrs. Shea was a skilled candlepin bowler who maintained a high league average well into her 80's. 

Mrs. Shea is survived by three daughters; Carol Kelley of Plymouth, Donna Cakert of Sudbury, and Devon Lancaster of Hingham; two sons, Richard Shea of Medway and Thomas Shea of North Andover; a brother, Francis Cusack of Yarmouth; ten grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. 

A funeral mass will begin at 10 AM on December 27, 2024 at St. Paul's Church, Hingham with details to follow on a celebration of her life immediately following the service. Burial alongside her Navy veteran husband is private at the Cape Cod National Cemetery in Bourne.
