Barbara Mcpherson

McPherson, Barbara (Williams) of Hanover, formerly of Brockton, died July 10, 2014. 

Barbara worked as a social worker for the Quincy Housing Authority for many years and was also a board member of the South Shore Elders Services. She was always very gentle, caring, and considerate. Barbara enjoyed the simple things in life, whether it be enjoying the sights and sounds of the ocean, gardening, or caring for her animals. Her relationships were very important to her. She had endless love for her family and friends. 

Loving daughter of the late Francis and Anne (Dillon) Williams. Beloved wife of Joseph McPherson of Hanover. Devoted mother of Erin Tuomi of Newbury. Cherished step-mother of Timothy O’Brien of North Carolina, Bryan McPherson of California, and Jessie Hedderman and her husband Noel of Dorchester. Loving grandmother to Noah, Freya, Molly, Ella, and Georgia. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church Hanover, at 10 AM. Burial in Hanover Center Cemetery.
