Barbara M. Gurhey

Gurhey, Barbara M. (Hobson) of Quincy, passed away March 12, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Eugene F. Gurhey. Loving mother of Judy Dunn of Weymouth and Diana Smith of Whitman. Sister of Janice Buchan of MD, LeRoy Hobson of KY, Constance Scott of NC, Carole Held of FL and the late Muriel Kingsley and Patricia Worcester. Also survived by 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The focal point of Barbara’s life was her family. A volunteer at the Quincy Animal Shelter, Barbara took care of the cats for over 13 years. She was a loving, independent, friendly and proud American. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 5-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A funeral service will be celebrated on Friday at 11 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.
