Barbara M. Durgin

DURGIN, Barbara M. (Rogers) 89, of Quincy, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children on Saturday, August 18, 2018.

Born in Boston, she was a daughter of the late John Rogers and Katherine (Noonan). Beloved wife of the late Alexander F. “Frank” Durgin. Devoted mother of Dennis P. Durgin and his wife Susan of Litchfield NH, Mark S. Durgin and his wife Carol of Punta Gorda FL, Pamela Murphy and her husband Michael of Hampstead NC, Janet M. Le and her husband Anh of Pembroke, Daniel J. Durgin and his wife Brenda of Norwell, Christopher J. Durgin of Quincy, Shawn P. Durgin and his wife Leeann of Plympton, Mary E. Kerins and her husband Timothy of Quincy, and the late Kevin F. Durgin. Sister of the late John W. Rogers, Katherine O’Neil, Donald Rogers, and Richard Rogers. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Barbara was a graduate of Jamaica Plain High School, and worked for many years for the Jordan Marsh Co. in Boston and in Quincy. She enjoyed playing Bingo, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday from 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Family and friends will gather in the funeral home beginning at 9 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
