Barbara M. Colleran

Barbara M. (Baker) Colleran, of Quincy, died unexpectedly in her home on Saturday, August 24, 2024. She was 74.

Barbara was born in Boston on July 5, 1950, and was the daughter of the late Frederick T. and Julia J. Baker. She was raised in Boston and later relocated to Quincy. Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Kevin P. Colleran and together they shared many loving years of marriage. She was the sister of the late Kenneth Baker, and caring and loving friend to many. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. 

Barbara retired from Boston Edison/NSTAR where she often participated in employee organization events and trips and many great colleagues became true friends. In her retirement years Barbara took up a hobby in bowling in Olindy’s weekly league. She also was a member of the Quincy lodge of the Elks. 

Barbara had a penchant for the finer things and a flare for fashion. She enjoyed a good restaurant and loved travel. She had visited many places but Aruba was her favorite. Barbara was a friend anyone would be lucky to have and was always there for those she loved. Barbara’s kind heart, humor and smile will be greatly missed.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday 10 AM -12 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be celebrated on Friday at 12 PM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
