Barbara L. Hogan

Hogan, Barbara L. (Quigg) of Quincy, passed away June 28, 2011. Beloved wife of Francis X. “Hank” Hogan of Quincy. Loving mother of Kathleen M.Ziegler and her husband Matthew of FL, Anne F. Hogan of London, England, Ellen B. Wholey of FL, Francis X. Hogan, Jr. of NC and Stephen P. Hogan of Quincy. Sister of Henry “Hank” Quigg of South Boston, Susan Lenehan of Whitman and the late John “Pat” Quigg. Cherished grandmother of Jason, Ryan and Alexandra Ziegler and Lauren B. Wholey all of Florida. Barbara was born in Boston and raised in South Boston before settling in Quincy where she lived for the past 54 years. Barbara was a graduate of Nazareth High School in South Boston class of 1950. Barbara worked for the United States Postal Service as an Executive Secretary for 22 years before retiring in 1999. Barbara enjoyed cooking, baking and was a huge fan of all the Boston Sports teams. Most of all Barbara loved spending time with her family. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Donations in memory of Barbara may be made to a charity of your choice.
