Barbara Jean O’Malley

Barbara Jean O’Malley, age 63, longtime resident of Braintree and Quincy died peacefully on Sunday, March 27, 2022, with her loving family by her side.

Barbara Jean was born in Boston to the late Myles and Alice (Dolly) O’Malley.  Raised in Quincy, she attended the special needs school program of Quincy, graduating from Quincy High School.  She attended ARC of South Shore Day Programs and was a resident in an ARC group home in Braintree.  She also worked at Work Inc. in North Quincy.

Barbara Jean was the loving sister of Denise Connors of Quincy, Janet O’Malley of Canton, Myles O’Malley and his wife Marie of Braintree, Anne Marie Sullivan and her husband Jeff of Quincy, and aunt of Jeffrey and Jared Sullivan of Quincy.  Barbara Jean is also survived by an uncle and his wife and many cousins.

Barbara Jean was well known and loved by many throughout Montclair and her community within ARC.  She was a beautiful, spunky lady with a kind soul. She will always be loved and will be greatly missed.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during visiting hours on Sunday, April 3, 2022, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St, Quincy.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:45 AM on Monday, April 4, 2022 prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, 386 Hancock St, Quincy at 12:30 PM.  Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
