Sargent, Barbara J. (Lewis) of Quincy, died May 10, 2013. 

Beloved wife of the late Charles F. Sargent Jr.   Devoted aunt of John Morin and his wife Marcia  of Centerville, Cheryl Bergmann of Minnesota and David Morin and his wife Sissy of St. Augustine, Florida. Dear friend of Nancy McNeilly and Dora Glidden.  Also survived by her longtime companion, her dog Toby.

Barbara was born in Boston and lived in Quincy most of her life.  She was a graduate of North Quincy High School class of 1942.  She stayed very involved in the planning of her class reunions throughout her life.  Barbara worked for Filenes in Braintree for 30 years as a sales associate before retiring in 1987.  She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cross stitching.  Barbara loved the ocean and boating.  She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 11:00AM – 1:30PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will follow at 1:30 PM in Keohane Funeral Home.Quincy.  Burial will be private in  Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett . Donations in memory of Barbara may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
