Barbara J. Riley

Barbara J. (Pollock) Riley of Weymouth, formerly of South Boston, died July 4, 2017 at the age of 84.

Barbara grew up in the South End. She enjoyed music and loved to dance. She cherished spending time with family and sharing laughs with her grandchildren.

She was the wife of the late Paul V. Riley. Loving mother of Kathy Platteel of Weymouth, Paul Riley of Fremont, NH, Barbara Hayes of New Boston, NH,  and Christine Riley of Quincy. Barbara Riley was one of 16 children and is survived by her sister Lillian Cloyd and brother William Pollock. Cherished “Nana” of Daniel Tremblay, Gillian Tremblay, Keeley Riley, Noah Platteel, Lucas Platteel, Shannon Hayes,  and Caylin Hayes.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, July 8th at 11 AM in the First Baptist Church of Weymouth, 40 West St., Weymouth, MA 02190. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Barbara may be made to the Alzheimers Association, MA Chapter, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
