Barbara J. Farrell

Barbara J. (Howell) Farrell of Weymouth, died peacefully, surrounded by her family on July 30, 2013. Barbara was born and raised in South Boston, graduating from South Boston High School, Class of 1950. Barbara enjoyed singing and was a former member of the Sweet Adelines. She later lived in Weymouth for over 50 years, where she proudly raised her own family. Family was the foundation of all that was important to her and was blessed with playing an active role in 3 generations of her family. She will be sadly missed.

 Beloved wife of the late Charles F. Farrell, Sr. Devoted mother of Charles F. Farrell, Jr. and his wife Janice of CA, Kevin E. Farrell and his wife Patricia of Carver, Michael J. Farrell and his wife Maureen of NY, Donna M. Moore and her husband Joseph of Pembroke and Diane M. Daniels of Bridgewater. Loving sister of Beverly Mahan of So.Boston, Janice Bluett of NY and the late Joan Flaherty. Cherished grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  

 Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester. Donations in memory of Barbara may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
