Foster, Barbara J. (Foster) of Quincy, June 23, 2006 after a brief illness. The beloved Wife of 40 years to John “Jackie” Foster. Devoted Mother of John D. Foster III, Kerri Foster Urich and James Foster all of Quincy. Cherished Grandmother of William “Billy” and Nicholas Urich and Christopher & Steven Honrado-Foster. Sister of the late Helen Rinn, Gloria Hanrahan and Robert Foster. Barbara is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Wednesday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 4- 8 PM. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Barbara may be made to the Jimmy Fund, 1309 Beacon Street Brookline, MA 02446-9918. Barbara was born in Roxbury and grew up in Roxbury & Dorchester. She graduated from high school and went on to hairdressing school. Barbara Foster married Jackie Foster and never had to change her name. They lived in South Boston for many years before moving to Quincy 31 years ago. She was married to Jackie Foster for 40 years. She was the proud mother of John ,III, Kerri and James. She was a devoted grandmother to her 4 grandsons. Barbara worked as a school bus driver for 15 years and than later at CVS on Hancock Street before retiring in 1998. She love the beach. She enjoyed traveling and even enjoyed building things with her husband. She love to cook . What brought her the most enjoyment was her family. Her family remembers what a devoted wife and mother she was to them.
