Barbara E. Murray

Murray, Barbara E. (Nemeskal), a 50-year resident of Nashua, NH, passed away April 10, 2023 after a brief illness.

She was born in Dorchester, MA to the late Francis and Dorothea Nemeskal and was the eldest of five siblings. Barbara was raised in Dorchester and attended Saint Patrick High School. She met her future husband and many life-long friends as a member of the color guard with the award-winning St. Kevin’s Emerald Knights Drum & Bugle Corps. Barbara volunteered for many years at The Friendship Club in Nashua and with the Nashua Junior Women’s Club where she was recognized as one of the Outstanding Young Women of America. She also spent summer months in Marshfield, MA for more than thirty years. Her hobbies included arts & crafts such as wreath making and cake decorating, playing whist with close friends, following her favorite travel and drama shows, trying new recipes, hosting countless memorable parties and sharing a laugh with her loved ones.

Beloved wife of 59 years to John T. Murray, Jr. of Nashua, NH. Loving mother of Michelle M. Tetreault and her husband Timothy of Hampton, NH, John T. Murray III of Washington, DC and Steven M. Murray and his wife Regina of Whitman, MA. Dear sister of Stephen Nemeskal, Susan Graham, Mark Nemeskal and the late Francis Nemeskal. Cherished grandmother of five: Taryn Tetreault, Timothy “TJ” Tetreault, Marleigh Tetreault, Avery Murray and Nolan Murray. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Services shall be held at Sacred Heart Church in Quincy, MA on Monday, May 8th at 11 am.
