Barbara Calnan

Calnan, Barbara of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester, died June 22, 2014.

Barbara worked in the food service industry for many years, as well as being a certified massage therapist. She loved to dance and will be remembered for her great sense of humor. She was also an avid sports fan who loved all the Boston teams, especially the Celtics.  What was most important, however, were her family and friends. She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.  

Loving daughter of Mary (McNulty) and the late Frank Calnan of Dorchester and South Boston. Cherished sister of Bob Calnan and his wife Nancy Kelleher of Melrose, Eileen Haynes and her husband Mark of Watertown, Mary Griffiths of Mansfield, Frank Calnan and his wife Linda of Wakefield, Tricia Obuchowski and her husband Paul of North Attleboro, and the late Tommy Calnan of Dorchester. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and two great nieces.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Private burial to follow.
