Barbara C. Buttkus

Buttkus, Barbara C. (Frappier) of Quincy, was called home to the Lord on March 29, 2005 following a long illness. Wife of the late Walter J. Buttkus. Beloved mother of Laurel and her husband Roy Vaughn of Kingston, Ellen and her husband David Begley of Onset, Cathleen and her husband Dr. Charles Samborski of Worcester, Christine and her husband Andrew Hunt of Quincy, Patricia and her husband William Collins of FL, and Mark Buttkus and his wife Deborah of Franklin. Loving sister of the late Albert Frappier and Louise Farquharson. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Memorial Funeral Service in Quincy Point Congregational Church, 444 Washington St., Quincy, MA on Tuesday at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Barbara may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 14 Page Terrace, Stoughton, MA 02072. Mrs. Buttkus was an active resident of the 1000 Southern Artery community in Quincy for 13 years. She traveled during her retired years to Ireland, Panama, Iceland and various destinations within the United States. She also enjoyed Riverboat cruises. She loved go to lunch with all her friends. She was a member of Quincy Point Congregational Church. She found great comfort in her favorite Bible passage, Psalm 23.
