Barbara Ann Kehoe

Barbara (Donovan) Kehoe, 88, passed away on April 16, 2024, peacefully in Hingham. She is survived by her children, Richard Kehoe, Jr. and his wife Jeanne, of Weymouth; Cynthia and her husband Robert, of Hingham; Robert and his wife Rebecca, of Brookeville, MD; Michael and his wife Shannan, of Hingham; ten grandchildren, Kristen, Matthew, Robert, Alexandria, Abigail, Daniel, Stephen, Kathleen, Victoria, and Anna; great grandchild, Avery; dear sister of the late Robert E. Donovan; and survived by her sister Elizabeth (Betty) Jewel and her husband Robert, her brother William (Billy), her sister-in-law Leslie, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is predeceased by her former spouse, Richard Kehoe, Sr. father of her four children.

Born and raised in Cohasset, MA, she was the oldest of Robert and Alexandria Donovan’s four children. She graduated from Cohasset High School and went to work for New England Telephone. Barbara was an active member of Saint Paul’s Church throughout her adult life. She was a vital part of Kehoe’s at Hingham Harbor working alongside her four children. Later she went on to work at Quality Fiberglass, Sager Electric, and Carolann’s Children’s Shop where she remained close to her circle of friends. Barbara was active with the Hingham Firefighters’ wives, St. Paul’s School, and Saint Paul’s catholic women’s group. A wonderful and supportive grandmother, she enjoyed watching her ten grandchildren grow up. Throughout her life she enjoyed traveling with friends and family, especially her trips abroad with “Gerry” Mortland. Barbara was also extremely fond of her Shetland Sheepdogs.

She leaves a legacy of love of family and faith.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during visitation from 9:30-10:30 AM on Saturday, April 27th at the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald Street, Hingham.  The Funeral Mass will be held immediately following the visitation at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Church, Hingham.  Burial at Woodside Cemetery in Cohasset.
