Barbara A. Kennedy

Kennedy, Barbara  A. of Quincy, formerly of South Boston, died October 24, 2013.

Barbara’s family was the central focus of her life.  She and her husband Charlie were inseparable and they enjoyed a wonderful relationship together.  Her children gave her great joy and she was the consummate doting mother.  Her passions included travel, shopping and a little gambling.  As matriarch of her family she enjoyed spending time socializing with family, friends and neighbors.  She also managed a retail store for many years. 

Beloved wife of Charlie Kennedy of Quincy.  Loving mother of Maureen Lynch and her late husband Robert, John Kennedy and his partner Colin Jackson; all of Quincy, and the late Chucky Kennedy.  Sister of the late Avid and John Carlson.  Cherished friend of Tricia Comeau and Cathy Willey. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Vincent de Paul Church, E and West 3rd Streets, South Boston at 11 AM.  Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
