Arthur Stephan Doll

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of one of the good guys, Steve Doll. Steve passed peacefully in his sleep on February 20, 2024. Steve was born on November 2, 1959 in Torrance, CA  to Arthur Doll and Harriett McGovern. He grew up in Wethersfield, CT and graduated from WHS in 1977.

Steve had many passions including riding his Harley, golfing, coaching hockey, fantasy football, music, and midnight beef. Steve’s biggest passion was his family. He was happiest when playing golf with his sons, his father and his brothers.

Steve leaves behind his beloved Annie and his 3 cherished children, Carl Hokans (Shannon), Alana Hokans (Nick) and John Doll (Antionette) along with his adored grandchildren, Colin, Reed & Grant Hokans.

In addition to his parents, Arthur & Jean Doll of West Hartford, and Harriett McGovern, of North Myrtle Beach, SC. Steve leaves behind his siblings, Ellen (Ken), Hank (Lori), Pete (Becky), Megan (Mark) & Allyson (Jon) and many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Kim.

Steve was very giving and cared deeply about his friends including Paul Pronicki, Austin Shores and his partner in crime for over 45 years, Mike Maurer. We take comfort that Steve is now reunited with his dear friends, Hokey, Tommy, Buster, Jack & Kris.

There will be calling hours on Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 12:00 – 2:00 pm at Farley Sullivan- 34 Beaver Road, Wethersfield, CT 06109.
