Cox, Arthur L. of Weymouth and Quincy, formerly of Stoughton, May 4, 2005. Beloved husband of Florence (Stone). Loving father of Evelyn M. Shore and Elizabeth M. Iacobucci both of Quincy, Jean Maynard of Holbrook, Marjorie M. McCoy of Bridgewater and Edward Perry Cox of East Sandwich. Brother of Jennie Skaberg of Indiana. Also survived by 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St. , WOLLASTON Monday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint John’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting hours SATURDAY from 2-6 PM . Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Mr. Cox is a retired teacher and postal worker who died after a brief illness. He graduated from Boston English High School and Boston College. Mr Cox served in WW II in the Army, Co A, 3429 infantry and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He resided in Stoughton for many years before retiring to Cape Cod and more recently Weymouth and Quincy area. Arthur competed in track and field at both Boston English and Boston College and had been inducted into the Boston English High School Hall of Fame. Donations in memory of Mr Cox may be made to Boston English Alumni Association, 144 McBride Street, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
