Arthur L. Bilotas of Quincy, died December 8, 2016 at the age of 91.
Arthur grew up in South Boston and was part of the Wildcats Football Team and Gang. During WWII, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy, enlisting at age 17, aboard the rescue ship USS ATR3, which was memorialized in the book “Christmas Eve”. Arthur retired from Sears and Roebuck in Boston. Memories with family at Castle Island were treasured by Arthur. He was an avid New England Patriots fan and a passionate gardener. The delivery of his famous tomatoes at the end of the summer was always eagerly anticipated by his many friends and family.
Arthur will finally be reunited with his beloved bride, the late Eunice H. (Wolfe) Bilotas, after missing her every day since she passed away in 2007. Loving father of Theresa “Terri” White and husband Bob of Weymouth, Kevin Bilotas and partner Paul Keefe of Boston, Ronald Bilotas of Boston, Laura Bilotas of Quincy, and Robert Bilotas and wife Kathy of Braintree. Son of the late Sophia and Peter Bilotas. Brother of the late Albert Bilotas.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday from 9-11 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY followed by a funeral service at 11 AM in the funeral home. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Arthur may be made to the Salvation Army, 6 Baxter St., Quincy, MA 02169.
