Arthur L. Adams, Jr.

Adams, Arthur L., Jr. of Quincy, died March 8, 2015.

Arthur loved his family and they all gave him so much enjoyment.  A talented handyman, Arthur could fix just about anything.  He also built his own boat, car and a deck for their pool which was enjoyed by the entire family.  A sports fan, he was an enthusiast of all the Boston teams.  Arthur served his country during WWII for the Army during the Battle of the Bulge and later worked for the Boston Globe as a pressman, retiring after 55 years.  He will be remembered for his strength, kindness, friendly manner, and sense of humor. 

Beloved husband of the late Helen C. (Gillogly) Adams.  Loving father of  Richard Adams of Quincy, Sharon Morgan of Plymouth, Susan Calvert and her husband Jeffrey of Squantum, Janet Protulis and her husband Robert of Cohasset, Kathleen Marks and her husband David of Cohasset, Michael Adams and his wife Margaret of Squantum, and Cheryl Koch and her husband William of Kingston.  Also survived by 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 8:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 9 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
