Arthur J. Ward

Ward, Arthur  J., 86, of Middleboro, formerly of Roxbury and Weymouth, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2014.

Beloved husband of Anna G. (Brown) Ward for 64 years. Loving father of MaryEllen Liquori and her husband, James, of Rockland, John J. Ward and his wife, Cynthia, of Florida, Michael A. Ward of North Carolina, Diane M. Ward-Dooner and her husband, Joseph, of Kingston, David P. Ward and his wife, Palma, of Florida, and Jeanne M. Murphy and her husband, Raymond, of Weymouth. Brother of Joan Talabach, of Abington, and the late Edward Ward and Madeline Hayden. Devoted grandfather of Nicholas & wife Emily, Anthony, William, Antoinette, Eileen, Arthur, David, Grace, Madeline, and Julie; great-grandfather of Vincent . He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Arthur was a proud World War II veteran who served with the United States Navy on the U.S.S. Franklin D. Roosevelt (CVB-42). He later worked as a head cashier at the  Boston Gas Company for 43 years. Arthur was an active member at Saint Francis Xavier Church in South Weymouth for 55 years.He was a former President of the Saint Vincent dePaul Society, and was a past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Council # 5027.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, June 22 from 3-7 PM at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, 809 Main Street, South Weymouth (Rte 18, opp. So. Shore Hospital), and are welcome to gather at the funeral home on Monday, June 23 at 9am prior to the Funeral Mass at  St. Albert Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial will follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth.
