Ferris, Arthur J., 81, of Hingham, formerly of Dedham, died on Monday, July 19, 2010. Beloved husband of Elizabeth M. (Papasodero) Ferris of Hingham. Loving father of Diane Roundtree of Dunstable and Bette Ann Ferris of Nantucket & Hingham. Cherished grandfather of Portia, Stephan, Ian, John and Elizabeth. Loving brother of Mabel C. Slifer of Bridgewater, Doris F. Martins of W. Roxbury, James A. Ferris of The Villages, FL, Ronald M. Ferris of Naples, FL and the late Joseph M. Ferris, Margaret A. Trigilio, Helen E. Bedard and Michael A. Ferris, Jr.. Arthur was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with the U.S. Marine Corp. He worked as a mechanic for many years at the MDC. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald Street (off Central Street), Hingham on Friday at 9:15AM. Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection, 1057 Main Street, Hingham at 10AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 4-8PM. Burial in High Street Cemetery, Hingham.
