McMahon, Arthur F. of Quincy, died on November 23, 2009. Arthur was a lifelong resident of Quincy, graduating from North Quincy High School. He joined the Coast Guard right out of High School and proudly served during WWII. He later worked as a Manager for the New England Telephone Company, retiring in 1985. In addition to his work, Arthur was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Amvets and the Pioneers. Arthur was an avid Red Sox fan and talented piano player who will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Beloved husband of 51 years to the late Joan (Cronin) McMahon. Devoted father of Kathleen and her husband Kevin Mormino of Quincy, Kevin F. McMahon and his wife Joan of Bedford, NH, Steve A. McMahon and his wife Kathy of Quincy, Brian J. McMahon of Meriden, NH, Paul J. McMahon of Quincy, Gerald R. McMahon of Weymouth and Carol J. Morin and fiancé Donald Dragon of Haverhill. Loving brother of Ruth Biche of NJ, Regina McMahon of Quincy and Fr. Albert McMahon of NY. Cherished Grampy of 11 grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Wednesday, 3 – 7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 8:15AM on Friday, prior to the Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church at 9AM. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 11:15 AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge, P.O. Box 415601, Boston, MA 02241 in memory of Arthur.
