Nilsen, Arnold V. “Arne” of Weymouth, passed away on July 11, 2018.
Born in Boston, Arne was an Electrician for many years for United Carr Fastener Company in Cambridge. He always enjoyed sailing, traveling, and most important to Arnold was all of the special times spent with his beautiful children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. A proud World War II veteran serving with the United States Air Force, Arnold was also a POW. Arne enjoyed spending time with fellow veterans and assisting them at many meetings he attended. He will be dearly missed by all those that knew and loved him.
Beloved husband of the late Helen E. (Olson) Nilsen. Loving father of Janis A. Murray and her husband, Daniel, of Abington, Karen E. Warwick and her husband, Steven, of Weymouth, Dianne C. Bryan, of Quincy, and Lisa J. Nilsen-Neary, and her husband, James of Roanoke, TX. Brother of Judith Wessel of Walpole, Barbara Haugh of Weymouth and the late Dorothy Lehmann and Robert Nilsen. Grandfather of Michelle, Todd, Allison, Becky, Justine, Deanna, Andy, Matt, Kate, Dan, and Megs. Great Grandfather of, Cooper, Charlie, Liam, Shane, Daniel, Henry, and Zachary. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral services will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM in South Weymouth Church of the Nazarene, 385 Ralph Talbot Street, South Weymouth. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Weymouth.
