Arnold J. DelVecchio of Braintree, died July 20, 2013 surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Cambridge, September 21, 1929. Arnold lived in Braintree for most of his life, except for 5 years where he lived in Connecticut. He graduated from Braintree High School in 1947. Arnold was a Korean War Veteran, serving in Alaska for 19 months. He worked for Kay Jewelers for over 40 years, retiring as Regional Vice President. Arnold was an avid sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed traveling and going on cruises.
Loving husband of the late Carol. Beloved father of Eric DelVecchio and his wife Cori of Braintree. Loving step Father of Susan Clancy and her husband Jack of Brockton, Terry Hale of South Carolina, Michael Mills of Abington, William Mills of Boston and Edward Mills of Braintree. Caring brother of Leonardo DelVecchio and his wife Jinetta of Braintree and the late Anthony and Nicholas DelVecchio. Devoted Grampy of several grand children and great grand children. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 5-9 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital) Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Clare’s Church, Braintree at 10 AM. Burial in Braintree Cemetery, Braintree.
