McDonough, Arlene M. (Clougherty) of Braintree, died July 14, 2012. Beloved wife of John T. McDonough of Braintree. Loving mother of Thomas B. McDonough and his wife Susan of Scituate, Claire W. Brady and her husband Joseph of Braintree and John “Jack” McDonough and his wife Marci of Braintree. Sister of William P. Clougherty of Plymouth and the late Paul T. Clougherty. Cherished grandmother of Meaghan, Jack and Julia McDonough of Scituate, Owen Brady of Braintree and David and Patrick McDonough of Braintree. Arlene was born in Boston and lived in South Boston before settling in Braintree where she lived and raised her family. Arlene worked as a teller for Citizens Bank in North Quincy for 10 years before retiring in 2004. She had a passion for photography, and she also enjoyed reading, gardening and History. Most of all Arlene loved spending time with her family who were the cornerstone of her life. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury. Donations in memory of Arlene may be made to A Charity of your choice.
