Brown, Antwon L. “Sam” of Quincy, passed away on Thursday June 6, 2013.
Born in Savannah GA on January 17, 1977, he was the son of Shirley Brown and James Thomas, Sr of Quincy MA. Sam graduated from Quincy High School in 1995, where he was known as the best running back in QHS history. His passions were playing football, his 1994 Ford Mustang Cobra Special edition and maintaining his house. A family man, he was adored by his mother, siblings and especially his nieces. Sam will be remembered as a big teddy bear with a giant smile who always helped and trusted others. He will be missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Sam is survived by his sisters Lakrisher Brown of Quincy, Latoya Thomas of Milton and brothers James Thomas, Jr. of Quincy, and Ethan Thomas of Dorchester. Cherished uncle of five nieces.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A funeral service will be celebrated on Monday at 9:30 AM in Bethel Church of the Nazarene, 41 Empire Street, Quincy. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Antwon may be made to Trustees of Boston University in Support of the center for the Study of Traumatic Encephalopathy.
