Violandi, Antoinette Marie (Sheehan) “Toni” of Tahilla, Co. Kerry Ireland, formerly of Hingham currently of Weymouth, passed away suddenly July 28, 2011 at the age of 69. The Daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Sheehan of Ireland. Beloved wife of 42 years to Vincent C. Violandi of Weymouth. Devoted mother of Margaret Thomas and her husband John of Hingham, John Flynn and his wife Jean of Cambridge, Thomas Flynn and his companion Lynn Chandler of Hanover, Barbara Violandi and her companion Barry Gilfeather of Rockland and Michael Violandi and his wife Petra of Weymouth. Loving sister of Margaret McCarthy of Randolph, Catherine Hagan of CT and the late Josephine Vejvoda of Quincy. Cherished Mimi of Ashley, John, Sean, Ryan and Liv. Antoinette is survived by many nieces and nephews. Toni worked as a Professional Registered Nurse in the South Shore Hospital’s Operating Room for 35+ years, retiring in 2005. Toni was regarded by her peers, as the One of the Best of the Best OR Nurses in her field having a strong passion for always being the Best in her profession. Toni had a passion for domestic and international travel. Some of Toni’s favorite travel destinations were Ireland, London, New York City, Nashville, Italy. Scotland, Germany and Sweden. Toni devoted her whole life to her family, always putting others before herself. Her family describes Toni as an amazing woman, hard working, intelligent, kind, compassionate, Independent and extremely strong willed. Toni was a One of a Kind Lady, Extremely Beautiful with Royal Elegance. During Toni’s Life she touched many lives and made the world a better place. Her Family were truly blessed with Antionette Marie Sheehan’s presence. Toni, We Shall Love You Forever. God Bless. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM, Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Hingham at 10:30 AM. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Antoinette may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
