Paglierani, Antoinette “Annette” M. (Egidio) of Quincy, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2013.

The devoted wife of 57 years to Albert J. Paglierani. Loving mother of Steven Paglierani and his wife Barbara of Marston Mills, Elena McClanahan and her husband Paul of Truro, Michael Paglierani and his wife Sheila of Portsmouth, RI and Joseph Paglierani and his wife Melinda of Valley Lee, MD. Annette is also survived by her 9 loving grandchildren.

She was a talented and skilled artist and loved to interpret God’s beautiful earth through her painting. As a high school student, Annette won a scholarship to attend museum classes at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. After high school, she took a position as a designer for the Rust Craft Greeting Card Company. Later, Annette taught painting in the classroom as well as her own studio here in Quincy for many years. A founding member of both the Quincy Art Association and the Quincy Art Festival, she was a Past President of the Quincy Art Association. In 2007, Annette’s painted ornament of the John Adams Houses was chosen to be displayed on the White House Christmas tree. She had a wonderful adventurous spirit and enjoyed many outdoor activities, including skiing with her family. Her generosity and warmth were some of her best qualities. She was very proud of her Italian roots and was a consummate cook. The essence of her life was her family – she lived for them and in return, they cherished her. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of family tradition and art.
