Caruso, Anthony (Tony) of Hingham formerly of Dorchester and North Weymouth, MA passed away on February 22, 2024.
He was pre-deceased by his loving wife of 51 years, Joanne (Duffley) Caruso, and his son, Dr. Anthony J. Caruso (Barbara). He is survived by his children Richard L. (LeeAnne) of Lincoln, NE, Stephen M. (Anne-Marie) of Pelham, NH, and Lisa M. Costa (Frank) of Norwell, MA.
Devoted grandfather of Elizabeth Kulpa, Robert, Thomas, Daniel, Ann, and William of IL; Nicholas, Alexander, Shayna, and Tori of NE; and Gabriella, Joseph, and Gianna of Norwell, MA. Adoring great-grandfather of Catie Grace Kulpa. He leaves behind two brothers, John of Milton, MA, and Philip of Pembroke, MA. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and his loving and caring companion, Joan Caradonna of Hingham, MA
Tony had a fruitful 51-year career at C. S. Draper Lab in Cambridge, MA where he worked on the inertial guidance and navigation systems for the Trident Submarine. He served his country in the USAF during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He loved music and was an accomplished accordion player.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during visiting hours on Thursday, February 29 from 4-8 PM at McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, 40 Sea Street (off 3A – Bicknell Square) North Weymouth, MA. A funeral will be held on Friday, March 1 at 10:30 AM at Nativity of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church 811 Jerusalem Rd. Cohasset, MA Interment will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Dorchester.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tony’s memory to the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church Building Fund 811 Jerusalem Rd. Cohasset, MA 02025.
