Anthony G. Zimbalatti of Quincy, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning June 18, 2019, he was 91.

Born in McDowell, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Steve and Elizabeth Zimbalatti, who had emigrated to the United States from Italy.  Anthony was a United States Navy WW II Veteran.  He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from New York University, and went on to have a long and successful career with Grumman, retiring several years ago.  One of his accomplishments was working on the Lunar Module.  He was a founding and active member of IEEE.  Anthony played football while attending NYU and remained a fan his entire life.  He enjoyed cooking and baking, traveling both for business and pleasure, and crossword puzzles.  The greatest joys in Anthony’s life came from the times that he spent with his family.    

Anthony was the beloved husband of the late Gloria E. (Angelo) Zimbalatti, and the devoted father of Lory Zimbalatti of Quincy and Lynn Hyams and her husband Morton of Needham.  He was the proud grandfather of Sandra Hyams of MN, and the loving brother of Frances Mita and her husband Paul of Yonkers NY. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the memorial service on Saturday June 29, at 2 o’clock in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Anthony’s memory to St. Ann’s Parish, 757 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA 02170.
