Anthony F. Ciampa

Ciampa, Anthony F. “Tony” of Weymouth, died April 29, 2022 at the age of 82.

Tony was a lifelong educator who spent his career in the Weymouth Public Schools.  He retired in 2000 as Weymouth High School Assistant Principal.  Raised in the South End of Boston, he considered himself fortunate to be able to attend Camp Hale on Squam Lake in New Hampshire.  While there, he formed a love of the Lakes Region that continued throughout his life.  He brought his family to Lake Winnipesaukee each summer where they vacationed with a close group of lifelong friends. After retirement, Tony and his wife Trudy were fortunate to travel the world on many cruises.  Tony’s strength, laugh and love of a good Manhattan will be missed by all who loved him.

Beloved husband of the late Gertrude “Trudy” (Bower) Ciampa.  Loving father of Ann-marie Martin and husband Andrew of Plainville, Michael Ciampa and wife Denise of NH, and Joseph Ciampa and wife Maura of Abington.  Brother of Charles Ciampa of Arlington.  Cherished grandfather of Benjamin & Christopher Martin; Kristen Ciampa; and Robin & Charlotte Ciampa.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday, May 9th from 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday, May 10th, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM.  Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Weymouth.
