Anthony D. Zenga

Anthony D. Zenga, “Jr” or as many called him “Zengie”, unexpectedly passed away in the warmth of his home at the age of 83 on April 24, 2022.

Anthony was born in the west end of Boston and dedicated his life to his family and long term employer, M. Susi & Son’s, Inc. of Dorchester, where he was considered as one of the Big 4 – a cornerstone of the business. Zengie was hard working, innovative, and always willing to help where needed, whether at work or for family and friends. A true master mechanic ahead of his time, a teacher who taught so many, and a man who was not afraid to pass that knowledge on. It is always hard to summarize a person’s life when they pass, but we find peace in the amount of love, respect and admiration people showed when asked about him.

Memories of Anthony will live on within his family and friends, from his famous sauce shared across the table, the many lobsters he caught in the harbor, to enjoying a glass of cabernet sauvignon, there was no short supply of joy that he brought into everyone’s life. Some even consider him the end of an era, as they do not make them like this anymore – everyone loved and respected him and will miss him.

Anthony rests in peace with his late wife, Emma, lovingly remembered by his brother Edward & wife Donna of Melrose; brother Danny & wife Mindy of Canton; sister Lorraine & husband Bill of Quincy; his late brother Henry & wife Sandra of Tewksbury; his sons Joseph & wife Andrea of Tewksbury; John & wife Terry of Weymouth, Paul & partner Stacy of Holbrook, and the late William. He leaves 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews & loving friends.

Anthony’s life will be honored at Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St, Quincy, MA on Thursday, April 28th from the hours of 4 PM to 8 PM, followed by a memorial service Friday morning April 29th at 11 AM in the funeral home, before loved ones gather at Pine Hill Cemetery in Quincy. In lieu of flowers, kind donations may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or plant a tree in his memory through A Living Tribute at ALivingTribute.org.
