Anthony Alessi

Alessi, Anthony F. of Quincy, died on  May 25, 2013, surrounded by his loving family, he was 80. 

Anthony was a longtime Quincy resident. He proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  A longtime member of the Squantum Yacht Club,  he loved boating.  An avid cribbage player, he also enjoyed golfing. A mechanical engineer by trade, Mr. Alessi  had a strong work ethic, working for the Boston Globe as well as Turner Construction. The essence of his life was truly his family, especially his grandchildren, they adored him and in return he cherished them. He will be remembered as a true gentleman. His family is grateful for all the blessings he brought into their lives. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.

The beloved husband of Nancy (Lancione ). Devoted father of Anthony P. Alessi of Hingham and his companion Ann Stalling of Texas and Debra Shea  and her husband James of Norwell. Cherished Papa to Jimmy & Madison Shea and John Alessi. Brother of Lillian Scapichio and her husband Peter  & Joseph Alessi all of Nahant and the late Frances Caprio & John Alessi. Anthony is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Anthony also leaves a longtime family friend Mark Gemelli. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday morning from 8:30-10:30 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, North Quincy at 11 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Anthony may be made to Norwell VNA Hospice, 120 Longwater Drive, Norwell, MA 02061.
