Annmarie “Little One Feather” Mazzella

AnnMarie Mazzella of Weymouth Massachusetts, Mother-Grandmother-Matriarch of the family and the most loving, beautiful soul to have ever graced this earth: November 4,1944 – January 18, 2022

Mom is survived by three sons, two daughter-in-laws and one daughter. Gene A. Mazzella and Wendy Lisa of Wellesley, Paul A. Mazzella of Weymouth, Mario A and Luciana M. Mazzella of Weymouth and Michelle M. Mazzella of Hingham.

Grandma is survived by her most beloved grandchildren: Angelina V. Mazzella, Belial A. Mazzella, Nina M. Mazzella, Anthony J. Mazzella, Marisa A. Mazzella “The Dickens”, Mario A. Mazzella Jr., Sofia J. Mazzella and fur grandbaby Kaia Marie.

She also leaves countless extended family members and loved ones in her wake.

Grandma was a dedicated follower of Jesus and shared the word of God with everyone that was blessed with the pleasure of meeting her. She always ended each encounter in person or on the phone with ”God Bless You” and if you were family in her heart “I love you” was added in too!

She had a passion for the ocean, Easter Lilies, Shalimar French Perfume (in volume) and QVC Home Shopping. Grandma loved Christmas beyond any other day of the year except birthdays and was a frequent “goes home with what she wants from the Christmas Grab”.

She ate Bavarian cream donuts until they went out of style and never stopped looking for them to return. Other food favorites included oatmeal with all of the Splenda in the store, Peeps, eggplant parmesan, Texas Roadhouse house salad with three sides of dressing, any soft bread with loads of “buttah”.

She loved her Elvis Presley, Willie Nelson, Janis Joplin, James Taylor and Joan Baez to name a few favs from the 50’s and 60’s.

Mom was born Ann Marie Bouchard and descended from a number of original French Settlers who adventured to what is now Quebec and Nova Scotia in the 1600s. Her ancestors intermarried and mixed with the Abenaki, Mi’maq, Huron, Metis, Matchonon and Algonquin First Nation peoples. She has a number of historic ancestors in her family lineage including people who resisted the removal of Acadians by the English after the French departed. Mom also has Chiefs from various Native Nations in her line including Chief Pachirini of the Deer Clan making mom and all her descendants’ members of the Deer Clan. Mom carried the traditional name of “Little One Feather” with great pride and was a proud registered member of the Metis of Maine and a Tribal Citizen of the Ko’asek Traditional Band of the Sovereign Abenaki Nation.

Family was everything to her which she considered the most precious gift from God. Being together is what brought her the most joy and peace no matter how crazy her family was. We thank her for all she’s given us and she will be forever in our hearts.

As she would say “That’s Wicked Pissah” May God bless her and may she Rest In Peace.

“I Love You More”

In leu of flowers the family would like to offer two charities that resonate with mom’s passion in life: EWTN Catholic Broadcasting Station & Saint Joseph Indian School for Children

The family also wants all friends and family to know we are organizing a outdoors Celebration of Life this summer and encourage all to join us. Please reach out to us at [email protected] to let us know you would like to attend and we will send you details as they become available. Thank you
