Annmarie Dickson

Dickson, Annmarie (Clancy) of Milton, died October 24, 2015.

Annmarie cherished her family. Being a mother and grandmother was her most important role in life and she loved being surrounded by her “kids” and watching them grow. She was nurturing to those who needed it and took in others as if they were her own family. Known to her nieces and nephews as “the comedian”, Annmarie was a funny, wise, and witty woman.  She would often say “life is short, so enjoy it while you can”. Annmarie was always put together and stylish and had a knack for engaging people in conversations. She made friends wherever she went.  Annmarie worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and then went on to work as an executive assistant for Blue Cross Blue Shield for 20 years. She was a loyal parishioner of St. John’s Church in Quincy.  Her faith was very important and always brought comfort to her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Her family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers at Julia Ruth House Adult Day Care who showed such compassion and comfort to Annmarie during her time there.

Beloved wife of the late George L Dickson. Devoted mother of Karen Dickson Goedicke of Milton and a second mother to Mary Catherine Larkin of Rockville, MD. Loving sister of Robert Clancy of Halifax and the late Edward Clancy Jr. and his surviving wife Dorothy of Plymouth. Cherished “Gammy” of Michael and Catherine Goedicke of Quincy and Meghan Goedicke of Milton. Former mother in law of William Goedicke. Special friend of Heather “Blondie” Thurston. Also survived by many cherished nieces, nephews and godchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
