Annie L. (LeBlanc) Mullally, of Medway, died peacefully on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Milford Hospital. She was 79.
Annie was born in Boston on March 28, 1944, and was the daughter of the late Mary A. (MacDonald) LeBlanc Grover.
The world lost a beautiful and feisty soul. Annie has made her journey to the after world where she’ll be reunited with her late husband, her mother Mary, her daughter Lorraine her son Michael, her brother Jackie and her dogs King, Rusty and Lucky.
Annie had some health issues over the years and beat most of them, but the last few months were very trying for her, and she simply didn’t want to fight anymore. If you met Annie, you instantly called her mom or nana, and she relished those titles.
She enjoyed going on rides with her daughter-in-law Jane or family friend Sue to the apple orchards, checking out the foliage in the fall or decorated houses around Christmas. She loved having family and friends at the house for holidays. Annie could be a sly one as well, if there was something she wanted to do she would try to make her son Chuck think it was something he wanted to do, and she was just going along.
Annie raised a family almost single-handedly as her first husband had passed away. She lived with her son Chuck and his wife for the last eighteen or so years and was tremendously loved and had no reason for want.
Mom: We’ll make sure your Angels are displayed every Christmas just how you liked. Your work here is done, and you did well. You will be greatly missed. Now is your time to rest, you’ve earned it. Love you always.
Annie was the beloved wife of the late Al Hughes and the late Arthur Mullally. She was the devoted mother of Annabelle Belasz and her husband John of Florida, John Hughes and his wife Veronica of Quincy, Cathy Joslyn and her husband Stanley of Quincy, Chuck Hughes and his wife Jane of Medway, Maryanne Jones of Medway, Benjamin Hughes and his wife Kristen of Walpole, the late Lorrane Hughes, and the late Michael Hughes. She was the devoted stepmother of Nancy Allan and her late husband Bobby of Virginia and Daniel Hughes and his wife Barbara of Virginia. Annie was the loving grandmother of fourteen and the loving great grandmother of four. She was the dear sister of William F. LeBlanc and his wife Andrea of Middleboro and is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday, November 13, 2023, 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, prior to the Funeral Mass at Divine Mercy Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM.
Services will conclude with interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
