Madden, Anne T. (O’Sullivan), a 60 year Wollaston resident, died June 3, 2017 at the age of 94.   Anne was a graduate of St. Patrick’s High School in Dorchester and after marriage attended Quincy Junior College. Before marrying, Anne worked at the accounting department at Standard Brands in Boston. Once married, she devoted herself to raising her family as a loving mother. She had many happy memories of summers spent with her children, extended family and friends at Mascoma Lake in New Hampshire. She greatly enjoyed the water, swimming and becoming an accomplished water skier. After raising her family, she was employed at the South Shore Bank accounting department in Quincy. In her retirement, she enjoyed life with her family from her home in Wollaston until she passed.

Anne was an avid reader with an active mind and a great interest in current events. She loved to read the newspaper and discuss the world with those around her. She loved music – Irish, opera, classical -along with a particular devotion to Nelson Eddy and Jeannette MacDonald. She also enjoyed traveling, going to Hawaii, Ireland, England, Spain, France, and Germany. She particularly enjoyed taking her entire family on a cruise to Bermuda.

Wife of 66 years to the late Francis J. Madden, loving mother of Elaine Schatzel and her husband John of Foxboro, Annette Jackson and her husband Rick of Foxboro, Bill Madden and his wife Susan of Milton, and Greg Madden and his wife Susan of Silver Spring, MD. Daughter of the late Denis and Anna O’Sullivan. Sister of the late Mary O’Sullivan and Daniel O’Sullivan and his wife Dorothy. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren that she treasured.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 5-9 PM  at the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 990 Legrange Street, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Anne may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 321 Manley Street, W. Bridgewater, MA 02379-1022.
