Anne T. Leland

Leland, Anne T. (Madden) of Hingham, died suddenly on March 29, 2023.

A lifelong devout Catholic, Anne was the matriarch who adored her family, especially spending time with her treasured granddaughters, son, and daughter-in-law. She hosted many happy holidays and gatherings in her home over the years for her extended family. A loyal and trusted friend to many, she was ready to entertain, lend a hand, or travel. She and Bob enjoyed many trips to Paris, Hawaii, and European cruises with friends and family. Anne mastered a fulfilling and challenging career, spending over 50 years as a paralegal. She was a valued professional for the past 30 years at Mintz, Levin. She was an avid reader and always on the go, ready to help those around her, and, in recent years, was a devoted caretaker for Bob. Anne was honest, intelligent, practical, determined, and most importantly, a generous woman who will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew her.

Beloved wife of Robert R. Leland of Hingham. Loving mother of Robert S. Leland and his wife Katy of Hingham. Cherished sister of Thomas R. Madden of Milton, Thomas FJ Madden of Belleair Bluffs, FL, and the late David M. Madden. Devoted Nana of Elizabeth, Frances, and Georgina Leland, all of Hingham. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10:30 AM. Burial in Hingham Cemetery, Hingham. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Rd., S.W., Lilburn, GA 30047.
