Anne Marie Ciarfella

Ciarfella, Anne Marie (Strobel) of Quincy, died August 20, 2017.

Anne’s life revolved around her family and community.  Her children, grandchildren and her immediate family gave her great joy. An alumnus of North Quincy High School, Anne worked for the Department of the Navy during WWII after graduating from Mount Saint Mary College in Hooksett, NH.  Anne was an Assistant Manager at Jordan Marsh in Braintree for many years before her retirement.  Her passions included gardening, reading mystery novels, knitting, ceramics, maintaining her home and playing the piano.  She was a longtime member of the Quincy Symphony Guild, Wollaston Garden Club, and Wollaston Mother’s Club.  Anne was also a fan of Boston’s sports teams, especially the Red Sox, Patriots and North Quincy High School football.  She will be remembered for her strength, independence, style and understanding nature.

Beloved wife of the late Louis Ciarfella.  Loving mother of Susan Ciarfella of Whitman, Patricia Keefe and her husband Richard of S. Weymouth, and Paul Ciarfella and his wife Kate of Groton.  Sister of the late Gib and Fred Strobel.  Grandma to PJ and Erin Ciarfella.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM.  Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
