Packard, Anne L. (Hamilton) Life long resident of Hingham June 1, 2007. Beloved wife of the late Richard W. Packard, Loving mother of Ellen P. Warecki and her husband Peter of N.H., and Marie P. Strickland and her husband James of GA, Sister of William Hamilton of Middleboro, and the late John Hamilton. Devoted grandmother of Nathan Warecki and his wife Kelli,and Laura Warecki all of NH, Andrew and Leah Strickland of GA, Cherished great grandmother of Colin Warecki of NH. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald Street, Hingham, Tuesday at 8:30 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Paul’s Church, Hingham at 9:30 AM. Visiting hours Monday 4- 8 PM. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. WWII Navy Veteran. Donations in memory of Mrs. Packard may be made to St. Paul’s Church Building Fund, 147 North St., Hingham, MA 02043. Anne was a life long resident of Hingham.She was a graduate of Hingham High School and St. Elizabeth’s School of Nursing in Brighton. After graduating from nursing school Anne worked as a hospital nurse and then joined the Navy and became a Navy Nurse caring for sick and injured soilders durning WWII. After returning home from WWII Anne became a civil employee of the Boston and Hingham Shipyards were she continued her nursing career for 15 years. Anne also worked for the Hingham Public Schools as a school nurse before retiring from nursing in 1957. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed planting flowers and vegetables whenever she could. Anne was an exceptional cook and enjoyed making her own breads and sweets. She was a member of the Retired Navy Officers Association. She was still an active member of the Hingham High School Reunion Committee. Anne was very proud of her Navy Service. Of all her accomplishments Anne’s family was most important to her.
