Anne was known for her wonderful smile and infectious laughter. Music was Anne’s life and she passed that on to all her children. Anne was a founder and life long member of a music group named Belles & Beaux, founded by her father, Andrew Dirksmeier. Belles & Beaux is a highly decorated USO group that performs primarily for Veteran Hospitals and Nursing Homes. Anne was famous in the neighborhood for using a cowbell to call all her children for dinner, and her fried bologna sandwiches.  Her life was like the “Sound of Music”, from her singing to every outing on the weekends, like waterskiing at Monponsett, to making all her children matching outfits.

Anne’s life was straight out of movie. She met the love of her life while performing with the USO while he was serving in the Navy. Anne & Bob took their family on many vacations including a trip to Disney on their 40th anniversary, a cruise on their 50th, and again on their 60th anniversary with over 60 attendees.

Anne is survived by her sister Trudy Dirksmeier Martel, her sister in law Louise Dirksmeier , her brother in law William Tullish and his wife Alice. Anne was predeceased by her siblings Andrew, Paul, Virginia, Joseph and Rosemarie Dirksmeier.
