Anne Hirst

Hirst, Anne (O’Brien) of Quincy, died September 11, 2016.  

Anne could be found spending much time in her garden and enjoying her time outdoors.  She and her husband loved to travel, visiting many parts of the world.  Anne was an avid reader.  Her main passion was her family and spending time with those she loved.  Anne will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

Beloved wife of 57 years to Derek A. Hirst of Quincy.  Loving mother of Julie Cronin of Brockton, Kathryn Powers and her husband John of Plymouth, Debra Smith and her husband Paul of Quincy and Andrew Hirst and his partner Roberta of Holbrook. Devoted Grammy of 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  Caring sister of Patricia McWilliams of Toronto, Rita Jennings and her husband John of England, Margaret Parker and her husband Michael of England and the late Marie Curtis and Martin O’Brien.  Also survived by may nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial will be private.
