Anne C. Grabowski

Anne Grabowski of Weymouth, formerly of West Roxbury, in her 90th year, passed away peacefully on November 19th at the Pat Roche Hospice Home in Hingham, after residing at Allerton House for the past four years. Anne was pre deceased by her husband of over 45 years, Edward Grabowski.

 Anne was the daughter of the late Evelyn and William Cratty of West Roxbury and Needham, the late sister of Jeanne Shields of Boston. Anne leaves behind her Brother William Cratty and his wife Mary Priscilla Cratty of Weymouth, Nieces Maureen Holmberg and Scott of Atlanta Georgia, Donna Shields of Boca Raton, Florida, Tracey Shields of Delay Beach, Florida and Jeanne Marie Cratty of Weymouth. Nephews, Wiliam Shields and Eileen of Carver, MA, Brian Sheilds and the late Patricia Holroyd of Norwood, James Shields of Delray Beach, Florida, William Cratty and Susan of Hanover, Richard Shields of Boston and Greg Cratty and Laurie of Marshfield. Anne was also a beloved grand aunt and great aunt to several nieces and nephews and enjoyed spending time with them. Anne loved to travel and has been to Europe, Isreal and most recently to Medjugorje. Her favorite vacations were spent in Florida visiting with family.

 Anne attended St. Mary's High School in Brookline and following two years in Junior College, she worked as a Medical Secretary at Boston Children's Hospital, followed by several years as a legal secretary before her career as a court reporter.

 During her retirement, Anne was very involved in Parish work. She was a member of Sodality, the Divine Mercy Committee and was a Eucharistic Minister. Anne was also a volunteer at South Shore Hospital for several years, where she served as a pastoral care chaplain.

 Anne was a friend to anyone who needed her help. She will be missed by all who were blessed to be part of her life!

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday 11/24/2024 from 3-6 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday 11/25/2024 prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Albert the Great Church, Weymouth at 10 AM.
