Anne F. Mccabe

Anne Francis (Lyons) McCabe passed away peacefully on September 7th surrounded by her loving family.  She is predeceased by her husband, Myles McCabe, the love of her life and best friend. She is survived by her son, Myles McCabe, Mark McCabe and Matthew McCabe; 2 daughters, Katie Burchill and Melissa Barry. Anne was blessed to have 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandson and many loving nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her siblings, Virginia Macaulay, Mary Jane Murphy and Tom Lyons.

Anne was born and raised in Quincy and attended high school at Archbishop Williams where she met her late husband, Myles McCabe.  After graduation from high school, Anne attended Cardinal Cushing College and enjoyed time abroad traveling Europe with her close friends.

Anne and her husband Myles moved to Hingham 55 years ago where they raised their family and enjoyed many happy years with friends and neighbors.  Anne was a member of the St. Paul’s Parish and an avid member of the Catholic Women’s Club.  After retiring, Anne spent many years traveling and spoiling her grandchildren who lovingly called her Grams.

A loving mother, sister and friend, Anne will be missed. Her kind nature and sunny disposition made all feel welcome in her presence. She will be forever loved and remembered in our hearts.  Anne’s favorite saying, “Love ya loads” will be carried on forever by her family.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday 9/12 from 9AM-10:40AM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. Funeral Mass to follow in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 11 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:30 PM. Donations in memory of Anne may be made to the Alzheimers Association, MA Chapter, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
