Ann (Anna May) Outerbridge of Quincy, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the age of 85.

Ann was born in Baltimore, MD in 1929 and lived there until she moved to Dorchester, MA after her marriage in 1948. She has lived in Quincy since 1967. Ann worked for the Social Security Administration, then the Small Business Administration in Boston for many years and had many dear co-workers. She loved her job so much that she worked full time until her retirement at the age of 82 in January of 2012. She was an inspiration to all, loved by many and will be dearly missed. She will be remembered for the kindness she always showed to others and her deep love her for family.

Ann was the beloved wife of John J. Outerbridge, Sr. for 47 years until his death in 2001. She is survived by her children, Carol Demaree and her husband Michael of Framingham, Cheryl Wallace and her husband Forrest (Wally) of Quincy, MA and John J. Outerbridge, Jr. and his wife Julie of West Bridgewater, MA. Her Grandchildren, Cristin and Lauren Demaree, and Bryan, Meagan, Emily and Matthew Outerbridge. Ann is also survived by her brothers Charles Malone of Baltimore, MD, her Aunt Audrey O’Keefe of Hiram, GA. Her cousins in Baltimore, MD include Diana Rizers, her Niece Terry Outerbridge of West Roxbury, MA and her nephew Robert Outerbridge of Whiteman, MA and her Grand Nieces and Nephews. Ann was the daughter of the late Charles and Mildred Malone of Baltimore, MD.  

Funeral services will be private. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery.

At Ann’s request, donations in her memory may be made to the Quincy Animal Shelter, 56 Broad Street, Quincy, MA 02171.
