Anna Maria T. Disano

Disano, Anna Maria T. (Agostino) “Anita” of Hingham, died April 10, 2014.

Anita’s life revolved around her loving family and her adoring grandchildren.  She was quite proud of her journey to America from Italy in 1960 at the young age of 22.  She loved fashion and was able to apply her dressmaking skills learned in Italy to her own seamstress business, in Hull, as well as Conte’s Dress Shop, in Hingham for over 35 years.  Her other interests included cooking and gardening.  She had a unique ability to touch and inspire all she met and will be remembered for her thoughtful manner, animated personality, and friendly, warm disposition. 

Beloved wife of Enrico “Henry” Disano of Hingham.  Loving mother of Anna Maria Maude and her husband Michael, and Henry Disano; all of Hingham.  Sister of Ada Prestia, Maria Pisciuneri, Teresa Mari, Amalia Fuda, and Pino Agostino; all of Italy, and the late Lea Ameduri.  Nonna to Samuel, Benjamin, Jack, Mia and Nicholas.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM.  Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
