Williams, Anna M. of Squantum, January 4, 2006. Beloved sister of Mary and her husband Louis J. Belliveau of Rockville, MD, and the late Joseph W. Williams, Robert F. Williams, Jr., John A. Williams, and Margaret M. Moriarty. Devoted aunt of many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Wednesday at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 9:00 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 3 – 7 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Anna Williams may be made to Fr. Bill’s Place, 38 Broad St. Quincy, MA 02169. Anna Marie Williams, born in Dorchester, Mass., on Dec. 22, 1923, lived in North Quincy until moving to Washington, D.C., in 1953, where she worked as an administrative assistant to Ted Sorenson in the office of U.S. Sen. John F. Kennedy. After her one-year stint in the nation’s capital, she moved to Squantum, Mass., and worked as secretary to the president of Loomis Sayles until her retirement in the late 1980s. Williams graduated from North Quincy High School in 1940 and later Hickox Secretarial School in 1942. She also attended Boston University and Boston College. She performed office duties in Quincy for Foy’s Market and later served in Boston as secretary to the president of Gilman Brothers Pharmaceutical. Williams belonged to the Proparvulis Club in Boston and worked with the Rev. Philip J. Kearney, its former director, in the establishment of the Catholic Servicemen’s Bureau in Boston. Williams volunteered at Quincy Hospital and the Thomas Crane Public Library and sang in the choir at Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church in Squantum. She is survived by a sister, Mary G. Belliveau, of Rockville, Md. She was predeceased by brothers Joseph W. Williams, Robert F. Williams, John A. Williams, and sister Margaret W. Moriarity and nephew Peter J. Williams. She is also survived by seven nieces and three nephews, who recall her as an ideal aunt. Williams generously provided them with gifts of Beatles dolls, favorite snacks and horseback riding sessions in childhood, and followed up with attending their graduations, weddings and baptisms on the road to adulthood. Anna enjoyed singing and playing the piano. She also enjoyed vacationing on Cape Cod with family and friends.
