Anna L. (Oakes) Wildes

Wildes, Anna L. (Oakes) of Quincy, died February 18, 2014 at the age of 85. 

Anna was also know as “Duckie” by close friends and family.  She worked at the Quincy RMV and for the Quincy Public Schools.  Anna enjoyed swimming at the Quincy YMCA, bowling, playing cards, cribbage, traveling and going to the beach.  Her main passion was spending time with her family especially during Sunday dinners.

Beloved wife of the late William J. Wildes Jr.  Loving mother of Susan Wildes of Quincy, William Wildes and his wife Patti of Woburn, Claire Merrigan and her husband Jim of Briantree, Paul Wildes of Quincy, Nancy Barry and her husband Pat of Walpole, Tommy Wildes of Randolph, Steven Wildes and his wife Karyn of Marshfield and Peter Wildes and his wife Kathy of Abington.  Devoted Nana of 10 grandchildren.  Caring sister of A. Patricia Oakes of Dorchester, Mary Ford and her husband Martin of Quincy, Barbara Smith and her husband Jim of Milton and the late James Oakes and I. Frances Lazzaro.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Anna’s family would like to give a special thank you to both the South Shore Visiting Nurses and the John Adams Healthcare Facility who took excellent care of Anna during her illness.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
